Lucy Payn
Head of Secondary, Creative and Performing Arts
Lucy Payn is what you might call quite arty. She loves anything to do with creativity, wearing it, making it, painting it and moving with it!
She studied Visual art with Theatre at Dartington College of Arts, England. Lucy has done many things during her career, from gallery invigilator, painting in France to dancing in a blind and sighted dance company, multi art workshops with adults with learning difficulties and she has worked as a youth worker. Her first Art teaching role was in a boys’ grammar school in Kent, England. Lucy enjoys reading historical novels as well as gripping crime dramas. Lucy has been married to David Payn (Business Manager) for 17 years and has a son Freddie, who is in Year 2 and loves the fact they are together teaching and learning in the same place.
